AM2R Power Suit Redesign

After loading the simulation and rendering the scenery, Samus arrives in a dark and mysterious cavern. A sense of eerie tranquility fills the air as the bounty hunter begins her virtual mission.
Rendering complete. "Confrontation" initiated.

While looking at the comment section on DoctorM64's blog, I've noticed that many people where not satisfied with the Zero Mission design of the main character's sprites. It had some interesting animations, but the colors and arm cannon position where far from the ones that the players grew accustomed to while playing the earlier games in the franchise.

The end result was the creation of the "Super Mod", so named due to the atmosphere of Metroid 3 that it aimed to recreate. The design I proposed stays faithful to Metroid 2 and Super Metroid (note - we see the ending of M2 in SM intro). The classic stance people grew accustomed to when playing the older games is present. Low arm cannon also returns (its end is on about the same altitude as from ZM so you don't have to change a thing in the engine!).The dark colors that immersed the players in the game's mysterious atmosphere - all the classic stuff is included in the new sprites.

Knowing that the Doc wanted to stay as close to the storyline as possible, I've also incorporated some minor elements from the upcoming Other M to complete the new design. It was intended to incorporate the best of the previous sprites.

The Super Mod is not a stand alone game. In order to play it, one must first download Metroid: Confrontation and then replace the files with the one in the mod. You can download both components from the "Another Metroid 2 Remake" blog.

Thank you for time,

-Michael
